BELLEVUE, Wash. – In another offensive battle between Seattle U baseball and visiting Omaha, the Redhawks came up just short, dropping a 10-8 decision in game-three of a four-game set Saturday afternoon at Bannerwood Park. The two teams combined for 35 total hits on the day.

Omaha (3-3) jumped out to an early lead, scoring four times in the top of the fourth off of Redhawk starter Tyler Yeh. The Maverick lead would extend to 6-0 before Seattle U posted a three-run third on a four-hit inning. Chase Wells collected an RBI-double while Connor O'Brien sent two home on a single.

The Redhawks (2-4) would score again in the fourth to make it 6-4 Omaha. The scoring would then continue for both squads and Seattle U would trail 8-5 heading into the home half of the sixth.

A two-run sixth would bring the Redhawks within one, 8-7, but Omaha would tack on two more runs in the top of the eighth and Seattle U's late rally could only steal one run back for the 10-8 final.

Yeh took the loss for the Redhawks after surrendering five runs (four earned) on 10 hits and one walk through two frames. A trio of Redhawk relievers pitched the next six innings, combining to allow five more runs. Alden Huschle tossed a scoreless ninth to close things out.

Austin Lively had three hits and three runs while O'Brien finished with two hits and a team-high three RBIs. Nine total Redhawks collected at least one hit on the day.

The Redhawks and Mavericks will conclude their four-game series on Sunday with a single game scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Bannerwood Park. For the most up-to-date information on game day, be sure to follow the Redhawks on Twitter at @seattleubase.
