SEATTLE – (Mar. 9) Seattle U baseball hosts UAlbany for a three-game series Saturday, Mar. 10 and Sunday, Mar. 11 at Bannerwood Park in Bellevue. The series was originally scheduled to begin Friday, but the Great Danes suffered travel delays due to a winter storm in the Northeast. The two teams will now face off for a doubleheader Saturday beginning at 1 p.m. followed by a single game on Sunday at noon.



  • Seattle U enters the weekend series with an 8-5 overall record and has won its last three straight.
  • The Redhawks went 2-1 at the Irish Classic in Kissimmee, FLa., last weekend, beating Youngstown State, 5-2 and Notre Dame, 11-7.
  • Seattle U returned home to face crosstown rival Washington on Tuesday, and scored eight unanswered runs in an 8-3 victory.
  • The Redhawks are batting a collective .278, led by Cameron Sterne's .400 average. Jake Cosgrove is batting .389 and Austin Lively is not far behind at .383. Lively has a team-high 18 total hits.
  • The Redhawks have 31 total extra-base hits on the year, includign 23 doubles, four triples and four home runs. Dalton Hurd has two of those homers while Curtis Perrin and Kyler Murphy each have one.
  • Dawson Day leads the pitching staff with a 1-0 record and 1.98 ERA in four appearances, including one start. He has eight strikeouts in 13.2 innings.
  • Jake Prizina is also 1-0 with a 3.26 ERA in three starts.The junior lefty has a team-high 15 strikeouts to go along with just four walks issued.
  • Zach Wolf has also had a strong start to the year with a 3-0 record and three saves in 11 innings and eight total appearances.
