SEATTLE (March 17) – The Seattle University men’s soccer team will travel to Spain for a spring tour from March 18-26. The Redhawks will play four games in Barcelona as part of the trip.

"This will be a terrific opportunity for us," said Coach Pete Fewing. "On the competitive side, it will be very good and then the cultural enlightenment will be fantastic. We're excited about the chance to go and it's pretty amazing that we're going to be able to do it."

Fewing and his squad will head to Spain on Saturday, March 18, with four quality opponents on the schedule. On March 20, SU will take on the Cornella 1st team. The next day, the Redhawks will face La Jonquera’s 1st Team. After a training day, Seattle U plays Bellvitge Junevil A team on March 23. SU wraps up the trip by playing the Cornella Juvenil B on March 24th. The team returns home on March 26.

The Redhawks will also spend time sight-seeing historic landmarks and attend a professional match.

Seattle U won 11 games in 2016, extending its string of double-digit victory seasons to four. It holds the nation’s longest current home win streak (16) entering the 2017 campaign.
