SEATTLE – (Oct. 20) Redhawk Madness brought a wild and rousing tip-off to the 2017-18 Seattle University men's and women's basketball seasons as students, faculty, staff, friends and family filled the Connolly Complex Thursday night.
The annual event opened with an introduction of the 2017-18 men's and women's teams, who would engage in shooting competitions, a full-court scrimmage, a round of "never have I ever," and a dunk competition. Celebrity judges included Father Kelly and former Seattle Supersonics great, Slick Watts.
Seattle U's dance team performed for the crowd, as did the band and Redline. Students in attendance joined in the fun, participating in games of knockout, a half-court shot competition and a rousing dance off with the two basketball teams.
