SEATTLE (Dec. 1) - Seattle University women’s basketball hosts Montana to close out a four-game home swing on Friday, Dec. 2. Tip-off for the non-conference contest is set for 7 p.m. at the Connolly Complex.

SU (1-6) is in its first season under head coach Suzy Barcomb. It fell, 62-59, to Loyola Marymount on Tuesday night. Kaylee Best scored 17 points and freshman Kamira Sanders notched 12.

Montana (2-4) lost, 72-56, at Cal State Fullerton on Wednesday night. Taylor Goligoski scored 17 points as the Grizzlies were done in by being outscored, 21-13, in the third quarter.

On the season, Best leads the Redhawks with 18 points per game. She has hit 25 three-pointers and pulled down 4.6 rebounds a game. The senior tops the WAC in six statistical categories-points (126), made field goals (42), field goal attempts (114), made three-pointers (25), three-point attempts (66), and minutes played (250). Alexis Montgomery has recorded 13 points and 6 boards per game, while shooting a league-leading 45.1 percent from the floor.

Goligoski paces Montana with 11.8 points per game. Mekayla Isaak is grabbing 8.8 rebounds a game, good for third in the Big Sky.

Montana leads the all-time series, 4-3, but Seattle U recorded a 58-44 win at Montana last season. Best posted 13 points and five rebounds as SU outscored the Grizzlies, 33-16, in the second half.
