SEATTLE (Nov. 25) - Seattle University women’s basketball hosts #13 Washington on Saturday, Nov. 26. Tip-off is scheduled for 4 p.m. at the Connolly Complex.

SU (1-4) dropped a 79-71 to Portland State on Wednesday night. It set season highs for points in a quarter (29 in the first) and a half (44 in the first), but the Vikings rallied for the non-conference win. Five Redhawks scored nine or more points, led by senior Kaylee Best, who dropped 21 points. She hit five three-pointers for the third time this season. Jacinta Beckley tied a career high with 13 points, including 11 in the first period. Alexis Montgomery and Kamira Sanders each added 10 points, while Shaylin Heredia notched a season-high nine points off the bench.

UW (4-1) is coming off a 105-53 win over Idaho on Tuesday night. Chantel Osahor posted the first triple-double in program history, tallying 11 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists. The teams combined to shoot 97 three-pointers in the match, setting a new Division I record for most treys attempted.

Best paces the Seattle U attack with 17.6 points per game. She is shooting 44.2 percent (19-43) on three-pointers this season, both good for second among WAC players. Montgomery is putting up 14.8 points a game.

Kelsey Plum tops the Huskies’ offense, scoring 27.8 points per game, good for first in the nation through five games. Osahor leads the country with 13.4 rebounds per game.

Last season, UW advanced to the NCAA Final Four. Its loss this season came at the hands of #1 Notre Dame last weekend.
