After playing six of their last eight games on the road, Seattle U returns home to host the WAC’s top two teams in UTRGV (Thursday, Feb. 18) and NM State (Saturday, Feb. 20). See below for the full list of activities and promotions surrounding this weekend’s games.

Play4Kay Game: Saturday is the team’s annual Play4Kay game and they are over halfway to their goal of raising $2,016. The donation site is located at There will also be several opportunities to get involved at the game including a donation table with pink wristbands, ribbons, and hair ties. Fans can also purchase t-shirts at the door for $10, which will include free admission to the game. Proceeds benefit the Kay Yow Foundation in the fight against women’s cancers.

First Televised Game from New Connolly Complex: The American Sports Network will broadcast Saturday’s game, which will be the first televised game from the newly renovated Connolly Complex. The list of stations broadcasting the game can be found HERE.

Seattle U Welcomes Back Alumni: Seattle University welcomes back all alumni by offering free admission to Saturday’s contest (NCAA rules apply).

Redhawks to Honor Faculty/Staff, Facilities Thursday: Thursday’s game will honor faculty and staff who have been influential parts of the women’s basketball student-athletes’ lives throughout their collegiate career, also honoring the facilities team for their partnership with athletics. At halftime, the Seattle U Hawaiian Club will perform.

Ross Approaching 1000 Career Points: Going into this weekend, senior Taelor Ross currently has 968 career points and looks to become the 15th player in program history to pass the milestone.

Scouting UTRGV (14-11,6-4 WAC): In their last meeting, the Redhawks earned a 74-71 win in Edinburg, handing UTRGV one of four conference losses on the season. Shawnte’ Goff leads the conference in scoring (15.0 ppg) as well as assist-turnover ratio (1.8). As a team, the Vaqueros are holding their opponents to the league’s lowest scoring figure, just 58.8 ppg.

Scouting NM State (21-3, 10-0 WAC): The league leader brings a 12-game win streak into this weekend led by Sasha Weber, who is scoring 13.0 ppg, good for second in the WAC. Weber is also leading the conference in three-point pct. As a team, the Aggies lead the WAC in scoring (69.6) and scoring margin, outscoring their opponents by an average 10.1 ppg.
