SEATTLE – (Sept. 30) Seattle U men's basketball held its first official team practice of 2017-18 on Saturday morning in the Connolly Complex.

The Redhawks' 18-man roster rolled through a variety of drills with high energy and enthusiasm as the team begins eying the season's opener on November 10 at Saint Louis.

"The guys were very eager and the energy was great, as you would expect on the first day," said Head Coach Jim Hayford. "There's also a neat brotherhood forming amongst them already."

Seven players return from last year's roster, including reigning WAC Freshman of the Year Matej Kavas, sophomore guard Morgan Means and redshirt junior center Aaron Menzies, who returns to the court after missing the latter end of 2016-17 with a foot injury.

Joining the returning core are 11 new faces, led by a trio of graduate transfers in Jordan Hill (Wisconsin), Richaud Gittens (Weber State) and Josh Hearlihy (Vermont).

Season tickets for the 2017-18 home slate, which includes 18 total games (nine at KeyArena, nine at the Connolly Complex) are on sale now. Deposits may be made online or by calling the Seattle U Athletics Ticket Office at 206-398-GOSU (4678).
