SEATTLE – (May 1) Just over a month since his official hire and formal introduction as the Seattle U Men's Basketball Head Coach, Jim Hayford has been a busy man.

First order of business was securing his staff in the form of Associate Head Coach Chris Victor, Assistant Coach Nick Robinson and Assistant Coach Ryan Madry.

Hayford has also been quick to sign a trio of players including two graduate transfers in Jordan Hill (Wisconsin) and Richaud Gittens (Weber State). The duo will be immediatley eligible in 2017-18 and provide the Redhawks added leadership on a previously seniorless squad. The third signee, Dashawn McDowell, a transfer from SMU, will redshirt the 2017-18 season before having three years of eligibility remaining beginning in 2018-19.

The Redhawk squad is also back in the gym with their new staff as individual workouts are underway.
