Where are you from?
I'm from Portland, Oregon

What attracted you initially to running?
Growing up my family was really outdoorsy, so rather than playing sports my parents and I would go hiking or camping on the weekends. One of the reasons why I started running was as a way to condition for our big hikes.

What is your preferred distance?
10k or 5k.

What is your favorite part of running in Seattle?
I find Seattle to be one of the more scenic cities. I love the amazing views you can take in just by running around the neighborhood.

What is your favorite thing to do in Seattle?
I love to explore the different neighborhoods and live performance scenes. There are so many great venues to see live bands, comedy and poetry.

What is your favorite type of music?
I listen to a variety of genres and styles, but mostly alternative, folk and indie.

What is your favorite type of food?
I have a sweet tooth so either cake or waffles.

Pick one: 100 degrees or 40 degrees
100 degrees for living, 40 for running.

What is your best memory as a Redhawk?
Last year’s WAC cross country championships. As a team, I thought we were going to end up placing 3rd or 4th on a good day. Instead, everyone ran smart, aggressive races and we ended up taking 2nd. When the results were announced all of us were in disbelief about what we had accomplished.

What was your favorite show growing up?
The Simpsons or Survivor.

What is your hidden talent?
I took piano lessons for 10 years growing up.

What was the last concert you saw?
I had a three-day pass to bumbershoot, and Odesza was the last act I saw.

Are you a dog or a cat person?
I'm typically a dog person, but I have a soft spot for my cat.

What is your favorite sport to watch?
Definitely track and field. Basketball is a close second though.

What is your favorite hobby?
My favorite hobby probably is playing cards or board games with friends
