SEATTLE – (May 22) Both the men’s and women’s Seattle U tennis teams celebrated their 2017-18 season with an end-of-the-year banquet on Sunday night, where many awards were handed out.

After earning the WAC Freshman of the Year award on the women’s side and being named to the singles’ First Team and doubles’ Second Team, Kyra Jung took home the MVP award for the women’s team. The Most Improved Player went to Austin native, senior Audrey Scott, and the Spirit award went to senior Sari Kwee.

On the men’s side, freshman Colton Weeldreyer grabbed the MVP award after leading the Redhawks in overall wins with 16 and earning two WAC Player of the Week honors on the year. Sophomore Adrian Sanabria took the Most Improved award, while fellow sophomore Miko Pasimio was named the Most Spirited.

The Redhawks finished with an overall record of 10-13 and 2-3 in conference on the men’s side, and the women had a 9-14 overall record and 1-4 in conference play.
