DENVER – (May 1) After losing in the semifinal of the Western Athletic Conference tournament over the weekend, the Seattle University women’s tennis team placed four players on the All-Tournament team as voted by the head coaches following the championship.

Kyra Jung earned singles and doubles honor with partner Hannah Gianan, while partners Michelle Lui and Kelli Woodman earned doubles honors.

Despite the Redhawks losing in the semis 4-2 against UMKC, Jung finished the tournament undefeated in all competitions, 4-0. She won her two singles matches at #3, and both of her doubles matches with Gianan at #2.

Lui and Woodman paired up to face both, New Mexico State’s and UMKC’s top doubles team and won both matches to lead the Redhawks to the semifinals.

All four Redhawks also earned All-WAC honors ahead of the tournament. Besides being named Freshman of the Year, Jung earned second team in singles and doubles—with partner Gianan. Woodman and Lui also earned second team doubles honors.
