PULLMAN, Wash. – (Feb. 24) The Seattle University women's tennis team dropped a 4-0 decision to regional opponent Washington State Saturday morning at the Simmelink Tennis Courts.

The Redhawks battled the Cougars in a tough matchup, but the home team took control of the match. They took the doubles point with 6-0 and 6-1 wins at #3 and #2 respectively, and then took care of business in singles. They won the first three matches at #3, #2, and #1 in that order, to secure the 4-0 win. The Cougars clinched the match at #1, where the #34 nationally ranked Michaela Bayerlova beat Michelle Lui 6-1, 6-2.

“Tough match today,” head coach Adam Reeb said. “WSU is a very strong opponent. We've got such a strong team, we just need to believe in ourselves more. We're looking forward to bouncing back tomorrow at home against another strong team in Idaho State.”
