SEATTLE - (Oct. 18) The Seattle U women's tennis team is heading to Palo Alto, Calif., to compete in the ITA Regionals beginning on Thursday. In preparation, Seattle University Athletics sat down with Freshman Kyra Jung to get to know her ahead of the fall's biggest tennis event. Jung has started her Redhawk career 4-2 in singles tournament play and won last week's Whitman Invitational Doubles Bracket with Kelli Woodman.
Where are you from?
I’m from Columbus, Ohio.
What attracted you initially to tennis?
Actually, my parents wanted me to do it initially, and ever since I’ve kept up with it.
Do you prefer singles or doubles?
Doubles all the way!
What is your favorite part of playing tennis in Seattle?
I have to say the team. The girls are all so nice, and even though I’m a freshman I already feel like a part of a family.
What is your favorite thing to do in Seattle?

So far, it’s going to have to be winning doubles with Kelli this past weekend at Whitman.

It was a while ago. It was Panic! at the Disco with my friends.
