SEATTLE (Aug. 10)- Seattle University women’s tennis has released its 2017-18 schedule. Eight home matches will be played across three venues - Amy Yee Tennis Center, Tennis Center at Sand Point and the SU Tennis Courts.
Adam Reeb will begin his third year as head coach of the Redhawks. He will return six players from last year’s Intercollegiate Tennis Association All-Academic Team.
Fall season begins September 21 at the Oracle/ITA Masters in Malibu, Calif., where Michelle Lui will represent the Western Athletic Conference. “Michelle was selected as the WAC representative to compete in the prestigious Oracle/ITA Masters in September, which is an amazing honor and so well deserved,” Reeb said.
Seattle U will play three other tournaments in the fall before kicking off the spring season on January 19 with a home match against South Dakota at the Tennis Center at Sand Point.
“The spring schedule is daunting and will challenge and test our women. We're really excited about the schedule, especially the two road trips to California and Montana where we will get to play some great competition,” Reeb said. “This schedule will prepare our team to play our best come conference time. We've got a very experienced and senior-laden team along with some solid newcomers, so our goal this year is to focus on every little detail. We will make sure we've done everything we can in our pursuit to be the best we can be and give ourselves the best chance to win the WAC Championship."
The WAC Championship will be played in Phoenix beginning April 27th.
