SEATTLE - (April 12) The Seattle U women's tennis team secured a 7-0 victory over Puget Sound on Senior Day to earn win no. 9 on the season.

Before the match began, head coach Adam Reeb honored seniors Kailyn Skjonsby and Barbara Carey for their contributions to Seattle U on and off the court.

"It was a nice way to end the regular season with a home win on Senior Day," said Reeb.

"We had some things we were working on going into today, and I think the team executed them pretty well. Huge congrats and thanks to our senior student-athletes Barbara Carey and Kailyn Skjonsby!

They've had great careers at SU and been fantastic representatives of our University and program.

We're looking forward to working hard the next couple of weeks in preparation for the upcoming WAC Tournament at the end of the month."

Skjonsby and Carey won both their singles and doubles matches against the Loggers. Skjonsby teamed with Madison Maloney in doubles no. 1 to win 6-2, while Carey joined Caroline Maltby for a 6-2 victory in doubles no. 2.

In singles no. 2 Carey won 7-6, 6-4, while Skjonsby won 6-0, 6-2 in singles no. 5. 

SU will begin preparation for the WAC Tournament which takes place April 28-30 in Las Cruces, New Mexico.
