RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. – (Feb. 14) Seattle University men's golf opened the spring season with a fifth-place finish at the PRO Compression Invitaitonal hosted by San Diego at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, Calif.

The Redhawks shot a plus-24 888 (297-294-297) over the three-round tournament. UC Santa Barbara topped the team standings with a 12-under 852. Wichita State was second (-3, 861), Cal Poly was third (+11, 875) and UC Irvine was fourth (+18, 882).

Junior Joe Harvie was the top individual finisher for SU, earning a tie for 12th with a plus-one 217 (71-71-74) on the par 72, 6,947-yard course.

Ross Kukula placed in a tie for 23rd with a three-round score of 223 (77-73-73) while Zack Overstreen and Michael Almonte tied for 26th, each finishing with a three-round score fo 224.

The Redhawks are back in action March 12-13 at the Bandon Dunes Invitational, hosted by Gonzaga at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort in Bandon, Ore.
