Mat Strum returns to Seattle U as the volunteer assistant coach of the Redhawks' track and field team. Strum previously coached at SU during the 2010-11 season as well as the 2015-16 season. He works primarily with the 100m and 400m sprinters.

"I love Coaching at the athletes at Seattle U. They are a smart, talented group of athletes that love to work hard and compete hard, and they're never afraid of a challenge," Strum said about his return to SU.

Strum, who grew up in Salem, Ore., is joining SU as a graduate of Linfield College (Portland, Ore.), Class of 2009. Strum was a five-time Northwest Conference Champion (200, 400, 4x100, 4x400 (twice)).
