  • Seattle U is coming off a 2-0 showing at the Outrigger Classic at the University of Hawaii last weekend. SU beat Pacific, 3-0, and Hawaii, 2-0. Jessie Ray earned Tournament MVP honors, as the sophomore scored in both games.
  • Idaho defeated Hawaii, 1-0, at home on Friday. Olivia Baggerly scored the game-winner in the 75th minute and Makayla Presgrave made five saves in goal for the Vandals.
  • Coach Julie Woodward, in her 21st season at SU, has guided the Redhawks to three NCAA Tournament appearances in the last four years.
  • Derek Pittman is in his fourth season at Idaho. He has led the Vandals to two straight Big Sky regular season titles.
  • For a fifth straight year, SU was voted as favorites in the WAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll. Stephanie Spiekerman, the reigning WAC Defensive Player of the Year, was chosen WAC Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.
  • Idaho was voted to finish fourth in the Big Sky preseason poll. It lost seven starters from last season’s team.
