2011-12: On Oct. 22, Longbotham and his team of four set a new pool record in the 200 medley relay (relay time of 1:33.83) .. swam the 200 freestyle in 1:43.24 ... swam the 500 freestyle in 4:44.80 ... swam in the team that finished the 400 freestyle relay in 3:10.48.

At Pacific Nov. 4-5, Longbotham took first in the 200 Medley Relay with a relay time of 1:34.79 ... took first in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:42.91 ... placed first in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:41.71 ... On Nov. 5, he took second in the 400 Medley Relay with a relay time of 3:27.45 ... placed first in the 200 Freestyle with at time of 1:42.79 ... placed third in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:41.85 ... took third in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a relay time of 3:09.44.

At Denver Nov. 12, Longbotham  took second in 200 free with time of 1:42.75 ... fifth in 500 free with time of 4:47.02 ... swam third leg in 200 medley relay team that took second with a relay time of 1:33.98.

In home intersquad scrimmage Nov. 19, Longbotham  swam third leg of winning 200 medley team in 22.62 (team time of 1:34.67) ... won 200 free with time of 1:42.08 ... second in 100 fly with time of 51.72 ... swam second leg of 400 free relay in 47.35 (relay time 3:09.17).

At Husky Invitational (Dec. 2-4), Longbotham swam 200 freestyle in 1:41.00, the second fastest preliminary time.

In home meet versus Simon Fraser Jan. 20 ... won 200 yard freestyle with time of 1:40.41, won 500 free with time of 4:37.45 ... swam second leg of winning 200 free relay team in 20.78 (relay time 1:23.33).

2010-11: At the University of Hawaii on Oct. 15-16, Longbotham swam the 200 free in 1:46.94 ... Won the 200 free in 1:41.99 ... Swam the second leg in the 400 free relay ... Placed 5th in the 50 free with a time of 21.85 ... Placed 3rd in the 100 butterfly with a time of 52.33 ... Swam the end leg off the 200 free relay for a 2nd-place team finish in 1:24.13

At the Army meet on Oct. 8, Longbotham swam the third leg of the 200 medley relay in 22.78 for a 2nd-place finish ... Placed 2nd in the 200 freestyle in 1:44.13 ... Placed 4th in the 100 butterfly in 51.59 ... Swam the lead leg for the winning 400 freestyle relay team in 47.63

On Nov. 6 at Pacific, Longbotham swam the third leg in the second-place 200 medley relay (1:34.75) ... Won the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:43.07 ... Swam the lead leg on the 400 freestyle relay team that placed third in 3:11.53

On Nov. 13 at the Seattle U home meet versus Simon Fraser, Longbotham finished second in the 200 freestyle with a time of 1:42.73 ... Placed second in the 100 butterfly in 52.63 ... Won the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:40.59 

At Utah on Dec. 3, Longbotham won the 200 freestyle in 1:42.24 ... Finished third in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.92 ... Swam the second leg of the third-place 200 freestyle relay (1:26.89)

At BYU on Dec. 4, he placed third in the 1,000 freestyle in 10:01.12 ... Placed second in the 500 freestyle with a time of 4:46.91 ... On the winning 400 freestyle relay team he was the third leg with a split of 46.74

Against Whitworth on Jan. 28, Longbotham won the 200 freestyle in 1:43.83 ... Placed second in the 500 freestyle in 4:51.91 ... Swam the final leg on the winning 800 freestyle relay in 1:44.08 (7:00.85)

At the MPSF Championships, he set two records in one event, swimming the first leg of the 800 freestyle relay in 1:38.74 for a school record; the relay team finished in 6:42.98 for the second ... Won two individual events, the 500 freestyle in a school-record 4:32.16 and the 200 freestyle in a school-record 1:38.72 ... Swam the third leg on the second-place 400 medley relay team in 49.26 (3:19.78) ... Swam the final leg on the 200 free relay in 20.52 (1:21.61) ... Finished third in the 200 butterfly in 1:50.95 ... 2009-10: On October 3, Longbotham swam against the University of Puget Sound. He competed in the 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:47.35, in the 1500 Freestyle Relay, and the 400 Freestyle Relay with a 48.43.

At Pacific Collegiate Swim & Dive Conference Championships, his team won 800 Freestyle Relay with a time of 6:48.32 ... the team won 200 Freestyle Relay with a time of 1:20.88 ... his team won the 400 Medley Relay with a time of 3:22.11 ... competed in 500 Freestyle, placed fifth with a time of 4:34.83 ... competed in 100 Butterfly, placed second with a time of 49.80 ... competed in 200 Freestyle, placed second with a time of 1:40.25 ... competed in 400 Freestyle, his team placed second with a time of 3:01.38. 

High School: Longbotham was a four year letterwinner for Mercer Island High School.  He earned an All-American time in the 200 meter freestyle 2007-2009. In 2009 he broke two state records, the 400 free relay and 200 medley relay, and four school records. 

Club Experience: Longbotham also spent time swimming for the Bellevue Club.

Personal: Full name is John Murray Longbotham.  His parents are Kay and John Longbotham, and he has an older sibling named Suryn.  Longbotham is a civil engineering major and wants to pursue a career in construction management.
