SEATTLE – (June 25) Putting the student in student-athlete once again, Seattle University's student-athletes combined for a 3.316 grade point average for the 2018 spring quarter. That mark followed a 3.30 fall quarter GPA and a 3.33 winter quarter GPA, bringing the 2017-18 average to 3.308.

All 18 (combining indoor and outdoor track into one) Redhawk teams maintained above a 3.0 GPA for the entire 2017-18 academic year. Five of the 18 teams earned a 3.50 or above for the 2018 spring quarter including women's golf (3.892), women's swimming (3.746), women's track & field (3.595), men's cross country (3.528) and women's soccer (3.506).

All told, 40 student-athletes achieved a perfect 4.0 during the final quarter of the 2017-18 academic year. Sixty-two student-athlete earned a 3.9 or above and 132 total Redhawks achieved a 3.5 or above.

The Redhawks placed a combined 72 student-athletes on the fall and winter Western Athletic Conference All-Academic Teams, and have an anticipated 76 more to add for the spring and freshman/transfers teams.
