LOS ANGELES – (Oct. 21) Seattle University women’s swimming won at Loyola Marymount, 114-90, Saturday morning. The Redhawks also dropped a 144-60 decision to Grand Canyon at LMU.

“We had some great performances today,” said Coach Craig Nisgor. “Bryn was terrific and Allison and Darian had strong swims as well. We were really getting things going and fighting for everything today.”

Bryn Lasher continued her stellar start to the season with a 2:06.50 in the 200 butterfly, logging the seventh-fastest time in school history. She finished second in the race Saturday morning, just ahead of Maddie Rapp, who tallied a 2:10.97 time for third place.

Madi Lydig finished second in the 1000 freestyle, notching a 10:48.76 performance. In the 200 backstroke, Lydig placed second with a 2:05.86.

In the 50 freestyle, freshman Allison Plamondon sprinted to a 24.49 effort, taking second in the event.

The team of Jennifer Wong, Margaux Thompson, Lasher, and Paige Treff placed second in the 200 medley relay, posting a 1:50.27 time.

The Redhawks host their alumni meet on Saturday, Oct. 28. The event is set for an 11 a.m. start at the Connolly Complex. SU resumes the regular season on Nov. 4, as Simon Fraser visits Connolly.
