MARICOPA, ARIZ. – Seattle U women’s golf finished their last tournament of the regular season on Tuesday after spending two days of competition against 19 other teams at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, tying for 12th place with a plus-44 908 over three rounds. The team title went to UTEP, who shot a combined 19-over 883, while New Mexico State’s Suthavee Chanachai finished at eight strokes under par to clinch the individual title.

Sophomore Keisha Lugito led the way for Seattle U, starting off with a fantastic round of one-under 71 before shooting 78 and 76 to finish at nine-over 225. Junior Linette Chua was hot on Lugito’s heels with an even-keeled performance of 75-77-74, giving her a score of 10-over 226. Classmate Krystal Hu also stayed consistent, sandwiching a round of 75 between two 77’s to finish at plus-13 229, and sophomore Kimberlee Tottori (80-75-75) followed with a 14-over 230. Finally, sophomore Nicole Foster (80-82-75) settled into her groove in the third round, posting a final score of 237.

The Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championships loom ahead for the Redhawks, who have the shortest travel time of any WAC team as they prepare to make the jaunt to the Oakbrook Golf Club at Lakewood, Wash., on April 18-20.
