CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – (July 11) Seattle University women's golf has been honored as one of the best in the nation as the Women's Golf Coaches Association announced its 2017-18 WGCA All-Scholar Team GPA Award winners.
The Redhawks posted a cumulative team grade point average of 3.759 for the 2017-18 academic year, good for the sixth highest team GPA among the 25 NCAA Division I teams honored by the WGCA.
"I want to thank my women's team for such a great effort this part year both on and off the golf course," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "Their talent on the course and dedicated efforts in the classroom has made this an amazing group to coach. They truly understand what it means to be a student-athlete.With such a young group, it will be a fun ride over the next few years."
Earlier this month, the freshman quartet of Kimberlee Tottori, Keisha Lugito, Vendela From and Nicole Foster were named WGCA All-American Scholars, which requires a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to qualify. All seven active members of the Redhawk squad also earned recognition on the Western Athletic Conference Spring All-Academic Team.
