PHOENIX – (Mar. 12) Seattle University women's golf had a pair of top-10 individual finishers as the team placed second overall among 10 schools at the Grand Canyon Women's Spring Invitational Mar. 11-12 at the GCU Championship Golf Course in Phoenix.

Yen Ting Wong was the top placewinner for Seattle U, shooting a three-round 218 to earn a tie for fourth. The sophomore had a pair sub par rounds, shooting a one-under 71 in the opening round, a 76 in round two and 71 in round three.

Ellen Brantberg, last week's WAC Golfer of the Week for her individual runner-up finish, placed 10th overall at GCU with a three-round total of 223 (74-73-76).

Jamie Huo tied for 13th with a score of 226 (77-74-75), Dorsey Addicks tied for 15th with a score of 227 (78-74-75) and Alexus Song tied for 33rd with a score of 238 (76-80-82).

The Redhawks' total team score was 892 (298-297-297), which narrowly edged the host Lopes (894) for the runner-up position. Portland State too the team title and had the top three individual finishers.

"I'm excited about our performance but know we have to continue grinding if we hope to compete for a WAC championship," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet.

Seattle U is back in action Mar. 27-29 at the Anuenue Spring Break Classic at Kapalua Golf Courses in Lahaina, Hawaii.
