SEATTLE - (May 4) Seattle U returns to Western Athletic Conference play this weekend, travelling to Phoenix, Ariz., to take on Grand Canyon University in a three-game series. The series starts on Friday, May 5, with first pitch at for 7:00 p.m. That is followed by game two on Saturday, May 6, which is scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. as well. The series concludes on Sunday, May 7, with a start time scheduled for 12:00 p.m. Game one will be available for viewing on the WAC Digital Network and games two and three can be seen on GCU.tv. • Seattle U is coming off its second series win of the season, taking two out of three games against UNLV at home, bringing their record to 15-26-1.
• They dropped the first game, 4-3, before coming back to win the next two, 7-4, and 1-0. Sunday's 1-0 game was the Redhawks' shortest game of the season, clocking in at just under two hours.
Griffin Andreychuk collected the 200th hit of his Redhawks career on Friday's game. He finished the series with 203 hits, leaving him nine hits shy of the program record 212, held by Brian Olson (2012-15).
Connor Moore won Sunday's pitching duel, going seven shutout innings and striking out six batters.
Austin Lively leads the team with a .353 batting average, good for fifth in the WAC
Aaron Stroosma leads the WAC with 15 stolen bases. He also leads the team with five home runs and 30 RBIs.
Jake Prizina has become one of the reliable starters in the conference, pitching 74.2 innings this season, second most in the WAC. He leads the team with a 3.98 ERA.
• Heading into the series Seattle U sits in a tie for seventh place in the WAC.

The Redhawks have an all-time record of 4-5 against Grand Canyon. They won last year's series, taking two out of three games at Bannerwood Park. They won the first two by scores of 10-3 and 4-1, before dropping the last game 4-8.
