HOUSTON – Seattle University men’s swimming opened action at the 2019 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Championships Wednesday.

"We'll learn from these races and put together the right race strategy," said Coach Craig Nisgor. "We have some things to clean up, but we'll learn and get back at it tomorrow."

The 800 freestyle relay touched in 6:42.04 Wednesday. The group of Mitchell Crossen, Alex Roderick, Zach Zenteno, and Jake Goguen set the school record at last year's WAC meet, but could not top that performance this season.

The event continues with its first full day of competition tomorrow. Events on the schedule include the 200 freestyle relay, 500 freestyle, 200 IM, and 50 freestyle.
