BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – Seattle University baseball could get nothing going offensively Sunday afternoon against CSU Bakersfield as the Redhawks dropped a 9-0 decision in the Western Athletic Conference series finale.

Roadrunner starter Edgar Barclay went the distance on his way to the win, fanning 10, walking one and allowing just one hit to the Redhawks.

Seattle U surrendered runs in a pair of innings as CSUB (15-14, 3-3 WAC) did it's damage with six runs in the fourth and three in the sixth.

The Redhawks (6-19, 2-4 WAC) sent five pitchers to the mound on the day. Relievers Max Cuenca and Marvcus Guarin combined for a scoreless final 2.2 innings with Guarin fanning two.

Jake Taylor collected the lone Redhawk hit in the second inning while pinch hitter Alex Jemal drew a walk in the ninth.

Seattle U returns home this week, hosting Portland on Tuesday. The two squads will begin play at 1 p.m. as they conclude their halted game from March 26, followed by their originally scheduled game.
