Six members of the Seattle University men's soccer team, three seniors and three juniors, were named Mountain Pacific Sports Federation All-Academic honorees, announced earlier this month by the conference office.

Of the 40 student-athletes from the eight member schools that were recognized, senior Scott Greenburg (Seattle, Wash.) had the second-highest grade point average, currently carrying a 3.903 GPA as an economics major. Brandon Hamer (Carmichael, Calif.) earned MPSF All-Academic honors for the third time, posting a cumulative 3.676 GPA while majoring in computer science with a business specialization, and Demaci Roussos (Sacramento, Calif.) also earned recognition with a 3.038 GPA as a public affairs major.

Two juniors are making repeat appearances on the MPSF All-Academic list. Ryan Blair (Albuquerque, N.M.) is majoring in civil engineering and has a 3.167 grade point average, while Marshall Kosaka (Burien, Wash.) currently carries a 3.241 grade point average and also majors in civil engineering. Bobby Segal (Portland, Ore.) is on this year's list after earning a 3.244 cumulative grade point average as a sport and exercise science major.

To be eligible for MPSF All-Academic consideration, a student-athlete must have a 3.00 or better GPA, must be at least a sophomore academically, must have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to this season, and must have competed in at least 50 percent of the institution's competitions this season.

Seattle U had the third-highest representation on this year's MPSF All-Academic squad, behind Denver's 11 student-athletes and New Mexico's eight honorees.

The Seattle University men's soccer team, under new head coach Pete Fewing, will remain in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation for the 2012 season.
