Seattle University has announced that Brad Agoos has been relieved of his duties as head coach of the Redhawk men's soccer program.

Agoos just completed his sixth season as head coach of the Seattle U men's soccer team, amassing an overall record of 49-49-9. This past season, the Redhawks struggled throughout, finishing 2-13-2, including a 1-9 record in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation, and not qualifying for the six-team conference postseason tournament for the second straight year in which it was eligible.

"We are very appreciative of Brad's efforts over the past six years; he has worked very hard in our transition back to Division I. However, the men's soccer team needs to move in a new direction," Bill Hogan, Director of Athletics, said. "We will do everything possible to make sure that the right person is brought in to develop an outstanding men's soccer program."

A national search for the next head coach of the Seattle U men's soccer program will begin next week.
