The Seattle University women’s golf team continued play at
the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational Tuesday, playing the second round of the
tournament held at Sahalee Country Club in Sammamish, Wash.
Monica Keo (Oahu, Hawaii) and Lori Pearson (Seattle, Wash.)
are the highest-ranked Redhawks, both tied for 48th after tallying a two-day total
of 160 strokes, 16 strokes over par. Keo shot 9-over 81 during the second
round, while Pearson shot SU’s lowest score of the day, taking an 8-over-par 80
during round two.
Just one stroke behind that Keo and Pearson lies Clare Sorensen (Roseville, Calif.) who is tied for 56th after also shooting
9-over-par 81 on the second round. She has a two-day total of 161, 17 shots
above par.
Shannon Quinn (Shoreline, Wash.) cut two strokes off her
first round total Tuesday, shooting 11-over-par 85 for a two-day total of
28-over-par 172. She is tied for 76th place. Rounding out the SU roster is
Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah), who shot a 17-over-par 89 Tuesday. She
sits in 81st place with a two-day total of 179, 35 strokes over par.
As a team, the Redhawks are in 15th place with a score of
653, 77 strokes above par. Sixth-ranked Washington has the team lead with a
collective 586, 10 strokes above par, while the Huskies’ SooBin Kim has the
individual lead at 138, six shots under par.
Seattle U will conclude play at the Edean Ihlanfeldt
Invitational Wednesday, October 10 with tee times starting at 8:00 a.m. off the
10th tee at Sahalee CC.
