SEATTLE – (May 15) Jacinta Beckley and Alexis Montgomery of Seattle University women’s basketball will be honorary coaches at the Seattle Storm’s game on Tuesday, May 29, at KeyArena. The senior duo helped the Redhawks win their first-ever WAC Championship in March.

May 29 is College Night at KeyArena and Seattle U women’s basketball will figure prominently in the event. Beckley and Montgomery will serve as honorary coaches, sitting courtside for the game. The pair will receive specialized Storm jerseys and be honored at the game.

After being hired as SU head coach, Suzy Barcomb was an honorary coach at a Storm game in 2016. Barcomb guided the Redhawks to the WNIT in 2017 and now has taken Seattle U to its first-ever WAC Championship in 2018.

Beckley, a native of Wellington, New Zealand, was All-WAC Second Team as a senior. She averaged 12.3 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, making 50 three-pointers on the year. Montgomery picked up All-WAC First Team honors after leading the team in points, rebounds, assists, and blocked shots in her senior season. She is the only player in WAC history with multiple triple-doubles.
