SEATTLE (Aug. 10) - Seattle University men’s tennis has released its 2017-18 schedule. Home matches will be played at SU Tennis Courts, Tennis Center at Sand Point, Amy Yee Tennis Center and the marquee match-up with UCLA will be played at Mercer Island Country Club.

Adam Reeb enters his third season as men’s tennis head coach. “We have three tournaments in the fall and 22 dual matches in the spring to prepare us for the WAC Championship in Phoenix at the end of April,” said Reeb. “We're really excited about the schedule, especially the opportunity to host UCLA at home at the Mercer Island Country Club in mid-February.”

Seattle U will open the fall season in Cheney, Wash., for the Eastern Washington Fall Classic. Spring matches start January 27 in Portland, Ore., where SU will take on Portland State.

March 9-11 Seattle U will play in the Golden State Invitational in Sacramento, Calif. “It's an eight-team dual match tournament that will give us the chance to compete outdoors before we start WAC play later that month. We're hoping to peak and be playing our best tennis come conference time,” Reeb said about the tournament.

The bulk of the Western Athletic Conference schedule starts on March 29 in Kansas City, Mo., where the Redhawks will meet Grand Canyon on a neutral court. The WAC Tournament begins April 27 in Phoenix.

“This is a motivated and hungry group,” said Reeb about the team. “They will work as hard as possible and prepare as well as possible to give ourselves the best chance to capture the WAC Championship."
