DENVER – Seattle U senior forward Myles Carter has been named Western Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the week of Nov. 11-17. This is his first WAC Player of the Week honor of the season and the third of his career.

The Chicago native averaged WAC-bests of 23.5 points and 12.5 rebounds per game as the Redhawks went 1-1 last week. He poured in a career-high 37 points on 11-of-12 shooting (91.7 percent) and matched his career high with 15 rebounds in a 115-81 win over Pacific of Oregon. At Syracuse, Carter added 10 points and 10 rebounds for a second straight double-double. For the week, Carter shot 65.2 percent from the field and 89.5 percent from the charity stripe.

The Redhawks continue their current road swing with a Tuesday, Nov. 19 meeting at Ole Miss, in the second of four total games as part of the NIT Season Tip-Off. Tip time in Oxford, Miss., is set for 6:30 p.m. Central, 4:30 p.m. Pacific. The game will be carried on the SEC Network+ (digital and streaming only). Kansas City’s Jordan Giles averaged 11.0 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 1.0 steals ... Trevelin Queen of NM State 17.7 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.3 steals as the Aggies went 1-2 on the week ... UT Rio Grande Valley’s Jordan Jackson averaged 18.0 points, 2.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.0 steals and earned all-tournament team honors at the Islander Invitational as the Vaqueros went 1-3 on the week ...Brandon Averette of Utah Valley 17.5 points 53.8 percent shooting and 2.0 rebounds in a pair of wins.
