SEATTLE --- The Seattle University women’s swim team is set to visit the The Land of the Midnight Sun as it visits Alaska-Fairbanks for a back-to-back showdown on Friday and Saturday. The meet Friday is slated for a 6 pm PT start, with Saturday’s events scheduled to begin at 11 am Pacific. 

This is the Redhawks’ second-straight head-to-head meet, after notching a hearty victory over rival Simon Fraser on Nov. 2. Allison Plamondon paced Seattle U in its last outing with a pair of first-place finishes, while Danika Himes, Alexa Hoeper, Isabella Guadiamos and Bryn Lasher also clocked first-place times. 

A LOOK AT THE NANOOKS
• Alaska-Fairbanks is one of two NCAA member institutions located in the state.
• The Nanooks are 0-4 in head-to-head competition this season, falling previously to San Diego State and Azusa Pacific (Calif.).
• Junior Oda Bygdnes competed in last season’s NCAA Division II National Championships, finishing 13th in the 100-yard Butterfly.
• UAF is led by head coach Becca Weiland.
