SEATTLE – Seattle University women's rowing closed out its fall competition schedule Sunday morning on Lake Washington, racing three boats in the 40th Annual Head of the Lake regatta, hosted by the Lake Washington Rowing Club and the University of Washington.
"We couldn't have asked for better racing conditions in November in Seattle," said Head Coach Jenny Park. "We made some improvements this week and it showed in today's racing. Now we look to winter training, gaining more speed and getting ready for spring racing."
The Redhawks opened the morning with the Varsity 8+ race, placing sixth after completing the 3-mile course in 19:22.020.
Seattle U's Novice 8+ took fifth in 21:50.809 and the Redhawks' Varsity 4+ wrapped up the morning with a runner-up finish of 22:43.125.
