SAMMAMISH, WASH. – Poor weather on Tuesday shortened the UW Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational to two rounds of 18, giving Seattle U a challenge in an already-competitive field of programs. In the end, the tournament was won by Brigham Young, with Sacramento State’s Nishtha Madan coming out on top in the individual competition with an even-par 144.

For the Redhawks, junior Kimberlee Tottori (72-82) finished the tournament with a plus-10 154, good for a fourteenth-place tie out of 60 total golfers. Behind her was senior Krystal Hu (78-80) at 14-over, followed by junior Vendela From (81-78) at 15-over. Finally, freshman Azumi Arai shot rounds of 81 and 80 for a total of 17 over par, while junior Keisha Lugito posted two rounds of 81 for a final of 18-over.

Seattle U will close out their fall season by hosting the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational next week from Oct. 14-15. The tournament will take place at the Tacoma Country Club in Lakewood, Wash. Play will start at 8:00 a.m. PT on Monday.
