SAMMAMISH, WASH. – Seattle U women’s golf enters their penultimate tournament of the fall tomorrow, teeing off at the UW Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational at 7:50 a.m. PT on Oct. 8. The competition will last for two days, and will be hosted by the University of Washington at the Sahalee Country Club.
The Redhawks are part of a field that also includes Brigham Young, Cal Poly, Idaho, Long Beach State, Nebraska, Rutgers, Sacramento State, San Francisco, UC Davis and Washington. The host team is ranked 24th in the country by the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA), and boasts Golfstat’s 59th-ranked player in Rino Sasaki.
Seattle U freshman Azumi Arai, after tying for eighth place at the Rose City Collegiate, will take the number one spot on the team for the Edean Ihlanfeldt Invitational. Junior Vendela From, who finished two strokes behind her, will enter at number two, followed by senior Krystal Hu and juniors Kimberlee Tottori and Keisha Lugito.
