SEATTLE --- Seattle U volleyball returns to the nest on Tuesday to open the home portion of its 2019 schedule, when it plays host to in-state foe, Eastern Washington. First serve from the Redhawk Center is slated for 5 pm, and will be streamed online for free through the WAC Digital Network. Single-game tickets for the home opener and all home 2019 matches, as well as season tickets, are available and can be purchased by visiting GoSeattleU.com/tix.

THE MATCH-UP
Tuesday will be the ninth meeting since 2008, with Seattle U leading the series, 6-2. ... the Redhawks are 2-1 at home against Eagles ... this is the first meeting between the Redhawks and Eastern Washington since Aug. 28 2015. 

LAST TIME OUT
Seattle U had a strong weekend visiting New England, going to 2-1 at the Holly Young Invitational with a four-set win over host New Hampshire and a five-set victory against Holy Cross. 

KERSCHEN-BOOM
Sophomore Eve Kerschenbaum had another solid week with 42 kills during the span of the weekend ... the highlight of the weekend was a 20-kill, 10-dig outing against Brown for her third double-double of the season ... the Wellington, Fla., native has a team-high 96 kills and is pacing the WAC with 4.80 kills per set ... heading into Tuesday, Kerschenbaum has reached the 20-kill match three times, including a career-best 24 against Southern Miss (8/30).

THE MAESTRO
Freshman Ezgi Ozkan has been the center cog in the Redhawk offense, reaching the 40-assist plateau four times in the first six matches of the season, including a career-best 51 last weekend against Brown ... the native of Istanbul, Turkey is second among WAC setters, amassing 240 helpers during the first two weekends, though is atop the assist per set category with a conference-best 10.91 ... Ozkan is also 10th among league leaders with 22 total blocks.

CAN YOU DIG IT?!
The Redhawks have out dug their opponents in the first two weekends, 356-330 ... junior Tijana Milojevic leads all Redhawks and is fifth in the WAC with 91 digs and second among league leaders 4.14 ... Kerschenbaum and redshirt-junior Rachel Stark are second and third on the team with 54 and 53 digs respectively.
