2019-20 Schedule

SEATTLE - The 2019-20 season of Seattle U women’s golf looks to be a busy one, with 11 regular-season tournaments on the schedule for Head Coach Marc Chandonnet and his veteran-packed squad. The year will conclude with the Western Athletic Conference Women’s Golf Championship in Kerrville, Texas, on Apr. 26-28. Last season, the Redhawks tied for first place overall in the tournament; this season, they feel that they can win the title outright.

First, the Redhawks will head to Pullman, Wash., from Sept. 16-17 to compete in the Washington State University Cougar Cup after a two-year hiatus from the tournament. Just one week later, they will fly across the country to Canton, Mass., to enter the Boston College Intercollegiate (Sept. 23-24) for the first time in program history. A quick turnaround will bring them back to the West Coast on Sept. 30-Oct. 1 for the Portland State Rose City Collegiate in Aurora, Ore., followed by the University of Washington Edean Ihlanfeldt Invite in Sammamish, Wash., on Oct. 8-9. Seattle U will complete their fall slate by hosting the yearly Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational at the Tacoma Country Club on Oct. 14-15.

After a four-month break, the team travels to Phoenix for the Grand Canyon University Invitational on Feb. 22-23, then looks ahead to the Hawai’i Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Mar. 10-11 in Kane’ohe, O’ahu. The warm-weather competitions continue with the Northern Arizona University Red Rocks Invitational in Sedona, Ariz., on Mar. 21-22 and the Fresno State Classic on Mar. 30-31 in Fresno, Calif. The latter appearance will be only the second-ever entry in that tournament for the Redhawks.

The last month of play kicks off with the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic on April 6-7 in Maricopa, Ariz., quickly followed by a new tournament for Seattle U – the Montana State Bobcat Desert Classic in Goodyear, Ariz., on April. 13-14 to conclude the regular season before the conference championship.

This year, Seattle U debuts two newcomers in freshman Azumi Arai and transfer sophomore Samantha Bruce. The returners include juniors Nicole Foster, Vendela From, Keisha Lugito, Kimberlee Tottori and Anne Transier, along with senior Krystal Hu.
