SEATTLE – Seattle University rowing has announced the hiring of Stuart Sloan as an assistant coach on Head Coach Jenny Park’s staff for the 2019-20 season.
“I am so excited to be bringing Stuart onboard,” said Park. “He brings great coaching experience and new perspective. He has a lot to offer this program, and I can’t wait to see where we take it.”
Sloan was the men’s club head coach for the Potomac Boat Club in Washington, D.C., for over a year. His group competed at the prestigious Henley Royal Regatta in 2018.
Prior to that, Sloan coached at the high school level in Maryland and Virginia. He competed at the University of Colorado, graduating in 2010.
“I am excited to join the Seattle University community and work with the rowing team toward a strong and fast-racing season,” said Sloan. “There's a lot of potential in the program and great support from the university. I'm eager to help the team grow and help student-athletes realize their fullest potential on and off the water.”
