NORMAN, Okla. – Seattle University men’s golf has earned President’s Special Recognition from the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), the organization announced this week. The Redhawks compiled a 3.59 grade point average in the 2018-19 academic year.

Seattle U was one of just 19 Division I teams, and the only WAC team, to claim at least a 3.5 GPA this year. It marks the third straight year that Coach Marc Chandonnet’s squad has claimed President’s Special Recognition from the GCAA.

The Redhawks are of six Division I programs to tally a team GPA of 3.5 or better in each of the last three years, joining only Duke, East Tennessee State, Harvard, New Mexico, and Robert Morris on the list.
