SEATTLE – Seattle University women’s soccer has announced its schedule for the 2019 season. SU will play nine home matches, including dates with two Pac-12 programs, and will host the 2019 Western Athletic Conference (WAC) Tournament.

Coach Julie Woodward will enter her 23rd season at SU this fall. She has won 294 games in her tenure in Seattle. The Redhawks won the 2018 WAC Tournament, making their fourth NCAA Tournament since 2013.

The Redhawks open the regular season against Pac-12 foe Washington State on Aug. 23 at Championship Field. On Aug. 26, Seattle U heads to the University of Washington.

SU returns home for a pair of non-conference matches, as James Madison (Aug. 29) and Portland State (Sept. 1) visit campus. After it heads to Idaho (Sept. 6) and then Gonzaga (Sept. 8), Seattle U welcomes national power USC to Championship Field on Sept. 13.

Woodward’s squad embarks on a six-game stretch that includes five road outings as WAC play kicks off. The Redhawks play at Portland (Sept. 15) and Air Force (Sept. 20) before returning home for a date with Loyola Marymount on Sept. 26. SU then travels to Cal Poly to close non-conference on Sept. 29.

WAC action begins on Oct. 4, as SU heads to Chicago State. Two days later, Seattle U will take on Kansas City in a rematch of last season’s WAC Tournament final.

On Oct. 10, the Redhawks host CSU Bakersfield in the WAC home opener. They welcome New Mexico State two days later before making the trip south for games at Grand Canyon (Oct. 18) and California Baptist (Oct. 24). SU wraps up regular-season action with two home contests, as UTRGV (Oct. 26) and Utah Valley (Nov. 2) visit Championship Field.

Seattle U will host the 2019 WAC Tournament from Nov. 6-10 at Championship Field. It will look for its fifth WAC Tournament crown in the last seven years.

Season tickets will go on sale in July.
