SEATTLE – Seattle University women’s basketball hosted its annual team banquet on Tuesday night at the Crowne Plaza in downtown Seattle. The Redhawks looked back at their 2018-19 season and honored their seniors, Madeline Dopplick and Delaney McCann.
Head Coach Suzy Barcomb, Associate Head Coach Joddie Gleason, and Assistant Coaches Skip Gleason and Toni Thomas each spoke and presented awards at the event. Dopplick won the “Together We Soar” Award for best teammate and the Iron Hawk Award for her efforts in the Athletic Performance Center.
Kamira Sanders won Most Outstanding Defender and Joana Alves took home Most Improved. Courtney Murphy claimed the Challenge, Commitment, Courage honor and Carla Bieg was the Scholarship, Skill Determination winner.
Dopplick made her senior speech, encouraging her teammates to define themselves. Barcomb’s letter to the seniors addressed lessons for Dopplick and McCann to take away from their time at Seattle U.
