SEATTLE – ​Redshirt junior Myles Carter has been named to the 2018-19 National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) Division I All-District 6 Second Team, the association announced Thursday. The All-District teams were selected and voted on by member coaches of the NABC in NCAA Division I.

Carter was one of 10 players honored in the district as five were named to the First Team and five to the Second Team.

The Chicago native averaged 12.9 points, 7.9 rebounds and 1.8 blocks per game as one of two Seattle U players to start all 33 games this season. He finished with 10 double-doubles, which led the Western Athletic Conference, and scored 20 or more points six times. His 28 points and 15 rebounds versus UTRGV on Jan. 19 were both career highs.

Carter earned a pair of WAC Player of the Week honors, the first on Nov. 12 and the second on Dec. 31. He went on to be named to the WAC All-Defensive team after averaging 11.4 points, 7.5 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per game in league action.

The Redhawks closed out the 2018-19 season with an 18-15 overall record marking the second consecutive season with 18 wins or more.
