FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Seattle University men’s swimming fell to Simon Fraser, 102-84, and to Air Force, 128-58, Friday afternoon at the world-class Weyerhauser King County Aquatic Center.
“It was a great opportunity to swim at such a great facility today,” said Coach Craig Nisgor. “It was a solid meet for us. We did a lot of things well.”
In the 100 butterfly, Raper put up his best effort of the season with a 49.70 time. The showing was good for second place Friday. Shawn Fujii and Milan Saric took fifth and sixth, respectively, in the race.
In the 100 backstroke, Ryan Shaw clocked in with a 52.37 to place third.
Seattle U took second in the 200 freestyle relay with a 1:24.35 time. The group of Raper, Parker, Keane, and Crossen teamed up for silver.
The Redhawks host Air Force tomorrow. The dual is slated for an 11 a.m. start at the Redhawk Center.
