KANSAS CITY – Isabelle Butterfield of Seattle University women’s soccer has been selected 2018 United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-West Region Third Team.

Butterfield is a grad student from Bellevue, Wash. The midfielder graduated in June with degrees in mathematics and computer science with a 3.95 grade point average. Last month, she was named CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team.

She was picked United Soccer Coaches All-Region Third Team, All-WAC Second Team and WAC All-Tournament.

Butterfield was one of two Western Athletic Conference (WAC) student-athletes to make the scholar all-region team. Kinga Szemik of UTRGV also made the squad.

SU won the 2018 WAC Tournament title last month, earning its fourth NCAA Tournament bid since 2013.
