PHOENIX – Bryn Lasher of Seattle University women’s swimming won the 200 butterfly as the Redhawks concluded competition at Grand Canyon Saturday. SU fell to the Lopes, 133-65, and to Loyola Marymount, 110-94.

"We just missed some details that cost us in the end," said Coach Craig Nisgor. "We keep getting better with each meet and we had some really solid swims today. The team has a really good attitude and we'll keep learning and try to be in a good place moving forward."

Lasher won the 200 butterfly Saturday. She clocked in at 2:10.77 to top the field. Maddie Rapp placed third in the event with a 2:12.55 effort.

Darian Himes finished second in the 200 breaststroke. She notched a 2:28.90 for silver in the race.

In the 400 medley relay, Plamondon, Himes, Lasher, and Sarah Carr swam a 4:04.11 to take second place.

The 200 freestyle relay of Lasher, Olivia Gabanek, Margaux Thompson, and Plamondon took bronze with a 1:41.97 time.

The Redhawks take a week off and then head to Idaho on Nov. 3. They will face the Vandals and Northern Arizona in Moscow.
