Mike Odland
Director of Operations
Coach Info:
Position: Director of Operations
Experience: 1 Year
Phone: (206) 398-4597
Email: odlandm@seattleu.edu

Mike Odland completed his first year as the Redhawks' Director of Operations in 2018-19. Odland previously served as a volunteer video coordinator during the 2017-18 season.

Odland spent two seasons (2015-17) as an assistant coach at the University of Puget Sound where he was responsible for recruiting, defense and opponent scouts.

Born and raised in Seattle, Odland prepped at Roosevelt High School. He went on to attend Whitworth University where he was a member of the Pirates men's basketball team under the direction of Head Coach Jim Hayford. Odland departed as the winningest player in program history (has since been passed).

Upon graduation from Whitworth in 2010 with a degree in accounting, Odland returned to Seattle and his alma mater where he served as an assistant coach for the varsity boys and head coach for the freshman boys team.

Odland stepped away from the coaching realm for two years to focus on a career in finance at Amazon. He also spent time coaching with some of the top AAU programs in the Seattle area. Odland returned to college basketball in 2017-18, joining Hayford's Redhawk staff as a video coordinator.

Along with his undergraduate degree from Whitworth, Odland also earned his master's degree in physical education from Azusa Pacific in 2017.
