SEATTLE – Seniors Curtis Perrin and Sean Sutton were named to the District 8 2018 Google Cloud Academic All-District® Baseball Team, selected by CoSIDA. The award recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Perrin, a Sport and Exercise Science major, carries a 3.95 cumulative grade point average into his final quarter at Seattle U. On the field, the Redhawks' second baseman is batting .255 with 41 hits, including six doubles, one triple and three home runs. He has also collected 26 RBIs.
Sutton is a Business Administration Economics major with a cumulative 3.78 GPA. The starting first baseman is currently second on the team with a .340 batting average. He has 53 hits, including nine doubles, and five home runs, and leads the Redhawks with 43 RBIs.
In order to be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must carry a 3.30 cumulative GPA, be in their second year at their institution and appear in at least 50 percent of their team's competitions. First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® ballot, with first- and second-team Academic All-America® honorees to be announced in June.
